It?s OK, but.......

My apartment is alright, 2 bedroom duplex and small, but suits my needs. The only real problem with the building is its response to your problems. I still have a ceiling leak after 6 months! It?s really bad now, but I don?t want you to think that no one has responded...they have, they just have not found a way to remedy the problem. I also have developed a good rapport with the folks who respond to your calls for help. That relationship is a must!! Those guys are worth their weight in gold! The surrounding neighborhood is not the best, however, I have never been bothered, but I am very cautious at night. I take no chances. Those reports from other tenents labeling the neightborhood as a ghetto or slum or lingering street thugs have NEVER LIVED IN A CITY. This must be their first city living experience. I have off-street parking that I was able to secure almost immediately upon request and have never had a problem with vandals or theft. The only really bad thing about the complex is its love of dogs. The people who live here have not just one dog, but many have 2 and 3 dogs! They urinate ANYWHERE!! Even at the front door or where other residents have to stand to wait for the shuttle! Its the owners, though. They don?t care. It?s not every dog owner, but many of them. If you can stand that, its OK to live here. It is reasonably priced for this area, but outrageous for the rest of the country, so just get over the sticker price! It has character, but its not luxury or perfect.
