Fine for young, single professionals but not for young families

Dixon Mills has superb floor plans, good fitness equipment and a generally responsive management. The laundry facilities are terrible and they have recently increased washer fees. If you have a car, check in advance if parking is available; otherwise, you will find it extremely difficult to find safe and economical parking.
The apartment complex is close to major highways and public transportation but is also located in a fringe neighborhood i.e., no Starbucks, Blockbuster etc... Security could be drastically improved.
If you are new to the area and have a family, you are advised to look elsewhere such as Pavonia/Newport, which has more conveniences, better neighborhood and quieter environment.
All in all, I would not recommend this complex unless you are single, looking to save money and would not spend much time here.
