Dixon Mills

I live in a duplex on the top floors for over two years and I love this place. While I sometimes I hear my neighbors, overall it is quiet and a little noise is to be expected as part of apartment living.
The office staff is extremely friendly, as are the security and maintenance workers. If you put in a work order, almost everything is fixed quickly. They have a problem with leaks in the building because everything is old, and they prefer to spray-patch leaks instead of fixing them.
When you move in they repaint and refinish the floors standard. The apartments are spacious and a great price for the area. It's a great place to have a dog, everyone here is very pet friendly. A few residents take advantage and are lazy with their pets letting them soil common areas, but if you complain to the office they clean up any problems immediatly.
Exterminators come every week if you ever have a problem, but bugs are few and far between. The gym is small, but super cheap and a good deal for the cost.
Over the past few years the area has become safer and safer, and the complex has a 24 hour security staff.
When you first move here there is a 1-2 month wait for parking, but once you have a space parking is convenient.
