You can't beat the convenience or the charm

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. My friend has lived at Dixon Mills for nine years(!)and absolutely loves the place. He lives in a large studio on the third floor of Building 'B', the largest building that faces onto Columbus Drive. Never any problems with maintenance issues, as mentioned by others--I suppose one should steer clear of any units beneath the skylights.
We became so enamored that we bought one of the newer larger units. You can't beat the historic architectural detail, high ceilings. It's so convenient to both the PATH as well as to the Turnpike. So it's good for NY or NJ commuters. We thought it was a good buy, considering the prices we'd have to pay in New York--and it's just as close, or closer, to downtown NY than the other boroughs. Love the diversity of the area and the profusion of restaurants. Also it's not as sterile or corporate as the fancy skyscraper towers that are popping up all around the Grove Street Path. After 9 years, we see the area moving up, dramatically, and we've bought a unit and we're stayin'.

WELCOME to the Dixon Mills marketing team. I'm glad to see you finally found this web site. I guess we should expect a shower of "happy" new tenants with wonderful reviews... lol

Once again a renter who instead of saving for a down payment expected the gracy train to keep running and now is upset that they have to move into a market rate apartment. I lived in a rent stable apartment for years and instead of spending the money that I saved on rent I put it into the bank in order to save for my down payment. If you hate the building so much why do you continue to stay and bash it. Oh that's right you can't buy there.
