I cannot belive the amount of positive reviews for Dixon Mills. The fact that it even has a 51 rating is amazing. I am from flatbush Brooklyn and lived in dixon Mills from December 2005 to November 2007. If you live in the C or D building you here screaming yelling in the streets at all hours. The leaks are real. I have 2 cats and yes the mice are real. They let you live in crap and then when you leave they slap on a coat of paint and sell it to poor fools. The neighborhood is absolute garbage. Not just muggings, violent muggings. Mostly against women because these cowards wouldnt want to get hurt or anything.
The poeple in the dixon deli are the nicest people you will meet in jersey city. In my 2 years there they were robbed at gunpoint twice.

And if you walk to the dunkin donuts--wow---be prepared to be asked for a cigarette 16 times , asked for money 18 times.And have fun shopping in the pathmark.

Why would you ever go that Pathmark? If you want to see the nice side of Jersey City walk away from the Pathmark. This review should be removed...clearly not the case anymore.

You said you come from Flatbush but chose the moniker "HobokenYuppie"? (laughing) ... Weird because anyone from Flatbush (rough by anyones standards) would have learned long ago ignore/avoid/deal with the nearby ghettoish housing good-for-nothings & Wayne st. riffraff (always been that way, always will be it seems, or didn't you do your homework before moving to there?) ... Mice? get a cat... Pathmark is for the Greenville folks not "your type" unless you like to be entertained by the more sophisticated/culturally-challenged levels of of society, of which Jersey City has loads of. This is a working class town, sprawling and mostly rough around the edges, everyone 'real' and old-school here knows that except clueless new money types in denial, still believing in some bizarre, unrealistic glossy fantasy world the Real Estate folks try to project. The only word for those who buy without renting here for awhile: Sucker.
