This place is not what you expect. It is extremely cheaply made (except for the kitchen appliances which they use as a bait) and as a result you have noise from neighbors, from the street (even from the highest floor), from the night club on the river (wait for the summertime when they open the roof), from the garage doors in the neighboring properties, and of course frequent police action (it is Jersey City after all). Also it is so cheap that they didn?t put AC/Heat vents in the bathrooms... It gets moldy really fast in these, and if your apartment is on the side of the building, icy in the winter and hot in the winter... We had the temperature go down to 59F in our bathroom.. yes 59. And that?s with the heat on.

The parquet floors are of such low quality, it feels like they?ve been on for decades event though the place is not even 1 1/2 year old!

Check where the AC/Heat machine is, and be aware it is very noisy! We had to increase the volume on the TV everytime the damn thing would start.

We never had bugs but we had mice... yes mice! Again this was a few month old appartment at that time.

Views can be nice from some appartments but horrible for others: constructions (endless and starting at 7am), abandonned areas, industrial zones, ...

Be aware that the parking garage only goes up to the 4th floor, so if you?re on the 6th floor, enjoy the stairs if you?re not on the side with elevators.

A word of advice if you?re new to the Jersey City area: it is much better than it used to be (as in it?s not as dangerous as it used to be), however shopping is not convenient (if you need more than convenience store food), parking is a nightmare (the Jersey city police boots cars faster and more than I have ever seen anywhere else), streets are in the worst conditions you?ll see (I dare you to drive faster than 10-15mph with a regular car through some of the streets) and access to Manhattan still takes forever (I mean at least 30 min to get to the Holland Tunnel). Basically, if you?re new, rethink this part of Jersey City... It?s not ready for prime time yet).

There was a LOT of problems in the first few months when this community opened and I won?t mention them here as most have been fixed.. What I will say however is that they were dealt with by the management very poorly and I don?t see why this would change in the future.
And finally it was SO expensive that they had to bring the prices down to get people in there... It felt really good paying all that money for that place when the neighbors paid 10 to 25% less for the same floorplan.
There is no commitment to quality at Hudson Point and certainly it is not Luxury living !!!

I do NOT recommend this appartment comuunity. Compromise severely and pay up or RUN!
