My 2 cents...

I have lived here for a little less than 3 months and there are pros and cons to this building:

Pros:
- beautiful building (but beauty only goes so far...)
- adequate gym: its good enough for what i need. i canceled my nysc membership because of it and im glad i did.
- very nice security staff: security staff is extremely nice. i have never had a problem with packages, getting doors opened, getting a cart, etc.
- quick turnaround on maintenance requests
- washer/dryer in each apartment: this is wonderful...until you get your utility bill

Cons:
- very poorly constructed building. everything people say here about the heating is true. my floor is also falling apart. the cheap parquet floors are all chipping and the laquer is falling apart. they came and replaced it once before, but they forgot to put padding underneath the pieces, so there are dips in my floor now.
- everything uses electricity here. i wish they had gas stoves and ovens (id rather cook with gas than electric ranges).
- heating units are worthless: they dont heat anything. i also had a utility bill over $400 last month, and i am gone most of the day at work. i turn on the bedroom and living room heaters at night to try to circulate the air, but nothing gets circulated except for the cold air. i use 2 down comforters and a space heater. thats the only way i get somewhat warm.
- exchange place is windy: you have to walk sideways to walk to the path station in the morning. something about exchange place that makes it extremely windy...
- parking garage is dangerous: its well lit and safe, but navigating into and out of the parking garage can become hazardous. the ramps are not one-way...they are 2-way, and are not all that wide. oncoming traffic cant see you around the corners. we have had many close calls getting into accidents with oncoming traffic. plus, the spaces are tight and the ceiling will hit the top of a large suv or a medium sized one with an overhead rack. not worth paying 150/month to get your car scratched up.

i would have recommended this place about 2 months ago when i first moved in. but now, im regretting signing a lease here...im thinking about subletting my place out for even cheaper than what im paying now. i hope management isnt reading this....=)
