This place seems great in the beginning...great views, spacious apartments, beautiful lobby and gym, easy commute to NYC, etc. Everything looked nice until I actually tried using the appliances. The washer flooded, causing water to seep into my closet which then caused mold to grow on the walls. After numerous phone calls to the mgmt co., they "figured out" that the plumbing was done incorrectly so they needed to break into the wall in my shower to fix it. They left my front door open twice after they were in to fix something. The dishwasher didn't work at first and then after it was "fixed," it flooded on it's first use. The a/c emits a foul order everytime I try using it. It seems like there are workers traipsing in and out of my apt all the time. The newest problem - every time it rains, water comes pouring into the apt from some kind of seal leak that they have not found yet. This is not what you would expect for a "luxury" apt. Although the management eventually comes in to fix each problem, they do nothing to reimburse for all the time and energy lost with each situation. I asked if they had any kind of reimbursement program since there have been an abnormal amount of problems, but the man I spoke to at the management literally laughed at me. I have never received an apology for all the headaches from the shoddy construction of the bldg. The only consolation I ever get from mgmnt are lines such as "Other ppl have worse problems than you" and "This bldg is brand new and all brand new bldgs have lots of problems" and "I don't understand why you're stressing over such small problems." Flooding in my closet is NOT a small problem. Also, if you plan on having a car in the area, you have no choice but to pay $150/month, since Liberty Towers is not zoned for residential parking (which is only $5/year). I will definitely NOT be renewing.
