Overall, I have been quite pleased with our experience. I have heard a lot of complaints about the temperature of the apts, now that it is winter. It seems a lot of people are having a difficult time keeping their apts warm. We have not had this unfortunate experience, but I think it is because our apt is located on the inside (facing the other building). We don't have the cold wind blowing directly on our apt.
I think the people at the front desk are very nice. They don't hold the door open, but I don't expect them to. I can open a door without help. However, when I have been carrying an armload of shopping bags, they always run to the door and hold it open for me. I think they are very nice and have helped me on numerous occassions.
One time, we were late on our rent, by one day. Not because we didn't have the money but because it was a very busy week and we forgot to pay it until Saturday when we finally had a chance to think. They charged us $250 late fee, which I think is a bit steep. especially since we have yet to receive a referral fee from July!! I haven't had to deal with the rental office so I can't say much. However, they are a bit rude. Once I went up to get info for a friend and they looked at me as if I didn't belong there (now granted, I wasn't dressed for success, it was Saturday..I do that all week), until I told them I already lived here (in one of the most expensive apartments). Now that did irritate me. It shouldn't matter who comes in asking for info, they should treat people with a bit more respect. But....overall, we have been pleased.
