CONSTANT HOT WATER PROBLEM

We live in the East Tower, and are experiencing a constant hot water problem which is not simply acceptable in this kind of weather (It s 9F everyday). Even if there is not hot water running in the morning, we have to take a shower and go to work. My husband and I had to literary boil water in the kitchen with all available pots and dump in a bath tab so we can take a bath before going to work. RREDICOULOUS.
They have been conducting Preventative Plumbing Maintenance since 1/2007. But I think there is a serious problem. This has been happening on and off since we moved in in 6/2006. We didn t really care too much at that time since it was summer but now it s not a joke.

I love the front staff and maintenance staff who are very attentive and always will go out of their way to help you, the amenities like swimming pool, gym are overall great but if this hot water problem is persistent, we will move.

Lots of people mention how rude the management/office staff is. THIS IS TRUE. They are unbelievably unprofessional. Especially one lady, she is the worst, worse than any of cheap retail store cashers in NY. She is never attentive, doesn t say a word if you go in to pay your rent 15 minutes before closing. (It was BEFORE the closing time) Also she expects you to hold the elevator and the door for her and says nothing. She lives in LT so we unfortunately run into her from time to time. I am sure most of people who lives in LT know which one I am talking about.

So many people care about whether the leasing/office staff is rude or pilot. Honestly, who cares? If they're rude, dim-witted or otherwise just poorly trained, why make it your own problem? I understand that having a pleasant office staff is better than having a rude staff, but who puts quality of the office staff ahead of the apartment's confort/amenities/view/value/etc when deciding where to live? Really...
