First of all, this building should be called a Faux Luxe Building. Where should I start - it's all bad from the granite to the "starbucks."
My Fiancee and I moved into one of the new 1 bedroom apartments in the East Tower...now let's go through the flaws one by one:
1. The inside of the dishwasher appeared used and dingy.
2. There were unexplainable hairs in the vent in the bathroom.
3. There were bird feathers in the carpet in the bedroom.
4. You can tell how cheap the kitchen is because the sink is extremely shallow.
5. Oh yes, one more thing about the dishwasher, it does not close properly.
6. The door/lid of the central air unit was broken in the livingroom.
7. The stove was left on for who knows how long before we moved in.
8. The sink in the bathroom is made out of some type of fake wood material..which was made to look like marble.
9. The doorman does not check any guests entering the building - might as well call Liberty Towers a public space.
10. There's always a constant traffic of kids with bikes rolling through the lounge.
11. It's spring yet it's freezing in the mornings due to the lack of insulation.
12. The windows were left open when we got here.
13. We hear the neighbors through the paper thin walls playing with their Xbox.
14. There were missing pieces of wood in the floors.
15. Walking on the floor sounds and feels like walking on puzzle pieces - they creek and wiggle.
16. There's bad cell phone, internet, and direct tv satellite connection here.
17. Very low water pressure.
18. The knobs and doors of the cabinets in the kitchen are uneven.
19. Guests parking in the building's parking lot is expensive - 8 dollars for 1hr and under.
And that's just a few...
And I'm sure you are thinking: "So why did you move there in the first place'"
Well, our answer would be: "We saw a model apartment that seemed good for the price. The apartment was roomy and appeared to have everything we were looking for."
Little did we know that just spending a short time here opened up our eyes to reality.
At least the nail salon in the building is worth it...
