Great Apt, Bad timing. From: yngnycjock Date posted: 6/10/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Apartment is great. Great building, secure, great management, brand new looking hardwood floors, ample closet space, central air, roof deck with gas grill, lots of windows, nice and sunny, alarm system (not that you need it), neighborhood is great, 2-1/2 blocks to path, run there in 30 seconds, walk leasurely-2 minutes. Bad Timing - there is new construction in the back. If you are looking at a backfacing apt, look out for loud noise everyday from 7am-4pm, bright light every other nite, from the hundreds of lights on each floor, so they can work at night, and LOTS OF DUST AND DIRT!! thank god for central air, forget about opening the windows. If your looking at a front facing apt, you should be good. Its a real shame, without the constant, noise, light, and dirt, this apt ROCKS. check back in a few years when the construction is done!!! One last complaint, noise form an upstairs neighbor, luckily you probably will not deal with this, Ive asked around in the building and I seem to be the only one who has a noise problem aside form the construction.
