$ Grabbing Scam

The apartment has a great view but it not livable. I hear cars driving over the grates in the parking lot ALL night (I live above the parking lot on the third floor -- do not rent on the third floor). I wake up every time the heat comes on because it is SO loud, so I try not to turn the heat on too high at night, which means (no kidding) I have slept in camping clothes every winter night that I have lived here (a fleece and wool patigonia socks). My first night sleeping in the apartment I cried from frustration at having been awakened every half an hour or so for most of the night.
The hall always smells bad. I practicaly have to hold my nose from the elevator to my apartment. It is poorly ventillated and so it smells like garbage and cooking all the time.
The gym is way too hot.
Oh and watch out --they will charge you a shocking amount to go month to month after your lease expires. If you decide to renew for a year expect your rent to go up $600 to $700. They are the nastiest people -- they have no heart. They will screw you over -- don't expect to get your security deposit back. They will never give you that money back. It's there's to keep. Even if you patch up all the holes where you hung pictures.
Oh and the staff... picture living any a dorm or better yet in a youth hostel...that's how you will be treated. Forget about customer service.
