To make this review look authentic, the office staff gave themselves 3 out of 5 stars, instead of a transparent 5 out of 5 on each item. I'd give them 1 star. However, I give them 4 stars for forethought in trying to make this review look like it was written by a real person. The rooftop "renovation" was to replace the teak furniture with aluminum furniture. The gym on the roof, however, still does not have air conditioning. The hallways do indeed now have new carpets after a 2 week installation that was supposed to take 3 days, and several years after promising replacement, but the mexican construction workers left nails on the floor and neglected to re-install the corner guards. So they are just sitting in the hall, with nails, waiting for a child to step on them. If this place had a janitor (it does not) he would have cleaned this up by now. The latest news at the Pier: The filthy, ugly, tattered welcome mats the Pier gave each apartment 6 years ago "will no longer be allowed out in the halls." As if anyone would want to bring that disgusting filthy trash into their homes???? And the elevators will be painted; nothing to cover up incompetence like a fresh coat of paint. So the elevators will be locked, theoretically on an alternating basis, next week. Since they are usually broken anyway, residents will feel no disruption in their daily routine, and just take the stairs. These people don't think through anything they do. They have no idea how to manage a building or give customer service. It's like living in a dormitory.

If it was the office staff who posted the response don't you think they would have stepped it up a notch or two, instead of just a simple comment. It seems like you are not very happy, why are you still living there? Ive been here 4 years and am pretty happy. It's sad that you cannot say anything nice, considering you still live here!
