225 is worth the investment

In early 06, I purchased and renovated a unit in 225. Moved from NYC where I rented at several luxury buildings over 8 years. Gotta say, I'm not sure why people are complaining in this forum.
225 in particular is in very good shape. A lot of the infrastructure and exterior have been upgraded since I moved here. The building is well maintained and the doormen are wonderful. I also don't hear my next door neighbors at all, which was a major problem for me in NYC.
For those of you looking to purchase, keep in mind that Journal Square is about to get a major facelift with new residential and commercial buildings. I see younger people and artists get on and off the Journal Square PATH stop more and more each week. As someone pointed out already, St. John's will benefit from this gentrification. While I'm usually conversative, I'm optimistic that my return on investment will increase by 50-75% within 5 years.

Do not rent from Sacks Realty. They are a bunch of crooks. Alice Chiracella is a racist thug. They do not give back your deposit when you have to go and they do nothing for you when you need repairs done as a renter. Sacks Realty is the landlord from hell. Had such a bad experience from them. Also 225 is not the best place to rent neither is 201 they are both managed by the worst management company and a very small company at that. The worst management company is Kilby Management. 10 Huron is teh managed by an independent honest company but rent direct through the owner not SACKS REALTY
