1. Great View !
Even I pay a lot of rent, the view is wonderful. My bed room has a south exposure and I can see downtown of Manhattan from my bed. It is always a pleasure that I can have a great view.
2. Cable TV is not good.
Only choice is RCN and it is linked by a microwave. It means the quality of TV is not good when it is a rainy/snow/windy day.
No cable modem connection to internet.
3. Internet
DSL from Verison and T1 (residential lan) from Newport telecom. T1 is quite fast and stable. (it is actually faster than T1 speed)
4. Maintenance
Maintenance people is good.
5. Heating
The apt is very cold during winter. huge utility bill....
6. Commute
There is ferry serivces to downtown and midtown. They are very good. $3 to downtown and $5 to midtown. Also, PATH is available in one block.
7. I moved in late 2001 (after 9.11)
My rent is very high compare to current (2002 Feb) rent. the rent is dived almost 20% from the peak.
8. Noise
Because of the constructions around the complex, during weekday, it is very noisy.
But I don't care this becuase I am at work during weekday and on weekend, it is OK.
9. Health Club,
There is only one health club and you have to pay extra membership.
