consider this before moving in: the building has bedbugs, management is not aggressively dealing with it, and just try to cover it up by controlling the rate of infestations instead of eliminating it. we had to abandon ALL furniture, a lot of clothes, most toys and electronics when we moved out in order to leave the bugs behind too. DO NOT MOVE HERE

Have you reported your problems to any of the agencies in Jersey City responsible for problems of this type. I recommend that you contact all three of the following: (i) Division of Housing Code Enforcement, Edward Coleman, Director, 30 Montgomery Street, Room 416, Jersey City, NJ 07302, telephone: 210-547-4821 or 4824; (2) Division of Health, Bureau of Public Health Inspection, attn: Joseph Castagna, Health Officer, and H. James Boor, Chief Sanitary Inspector, 1 Journal Square Plaza, 2nd Floor, Jersey City, NJ 07306, telephone: 201-547-5545; and (3) Jersey City Mayor's Action Bureau, attn: Jack Carley, Director, Office of Constituent Services, City Hall, 280 Grove Street, Room 105, Jersey City, NJ 07302. I assure you they will respond. They are courteous and will act quickly. This is the only manner in which I have ever been able to get any semi-decent response to repair issues in my apartment. Please contact me to discuss if you wish: dlyweaver@comcast.net.

Unfortunate. Yet this is how, most problems are handled here-poorly! I live here and sad but true...management -if you can call it that-is at times a greater problem than the complaint itself. Carolyn's style of management seems to be one of disregard, non-accountability and integrity is even part of the equation. This place is simply ill-ran by an incompetent individual who has no concept of 'quality management' not quality.

I wanted to take a moment to respond to the comments posted above. Myself and the team take each residents questions or concerns very seriously and deal with each one individually. We strive to solve each problem in a timely and effective manner. If there was an issue that was not properly addressed, I apologize and I would like to sit down to discuss your concerns directly. As far as the previously mentioned Bed Bug issue, unfortuately no property or hotel is immune to these issues. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11916682/ Bed bugs have recently been all over the news because ..."They???ve popped up in apartments, mansions or dormitories in nearly every corner of the country." This isolated incident that occured at Liberty House was promptly addressed by both Windsor and our pest control company (Western Pest). There is no way of determining where these pests came from, but usually people bring them in from traveling. This situation was an isolated one and it was addressed and eradicated. Again I am always available to discuss concerns directly with residents. Caroline Property Manager 201-433-5400

Worried now..which building are the bed bugs in or are they in both. A friend of mine lived on the 3rd floor of 115 morris and informed management they had bedbugs. She was told it was her responsiblity to get rid of them and pay for extermination. She asked if they would inform the neighbors and they said no....i cross my fingers i don't have the bedbugs...

I live on the third floor at 115 Morris St and we had bedbugs also last year (8/08-9/08). We had management do an inspection, their company (Western Pest) found nothing. Luckily we got a second opinion and they found bed bugs. We asked management to pay for the cost and were told that was not an option, we had to pay for the service and cleaning of our possessions ourselves (over $3,000 total). We were also told that we were the only people to ever have bed bugs in the building. However, when we got our dry cleaning done down the street (over $1,000 of it) the owner told us he has serviced people from our building before regarding bed bugs. Windsor did absolutely nothing to help us. With that information and after reading these posts it is apparent to me that bed bugs is an issue in this building. In fact, I have scheduled another inspection after reading these posts to inspect my apartment again. Bed bugs are widely spread from people who travel Internationally, and there are many people who live in this building who travel Internationally or house guests that do.
