Not the best

I have lived here for a year now. I think from a convenience point of view it is one of the best places around. Also the apartments are fairly quiet (but maybe I feel so since I am on the top most floor). When I rented my duplex, they told us to wait to refurb the place. However, when we moved in we found the carpet was barely vacuumed. It had pet hair on the stairs and stains all over (we dont have pets or kids). We needed a place right away plus I was not aware we could complain and get it changed so we got stuck with it. There were defects like the walls were not painted new. They had stains from the previous owner. Another thing I found about this place is that they allow huge dogs. There is a tenant in my building (100 Dudley) who has these dogs which look like tigers. And they start growling when you are even a few ft away. Besides the guy is obnoxious. I complained and the management didnt do anything. I would not recommend this place if you are not fond of big ugly dogs. Now that I have given my notice, the management feels free to come to our place anytime of the day and night to show the place to anyone. Even after requesting they donot desist from inconveniencing us. A proper 24 hour notice is also not provided. Their explanation is that once you give a 2 months notice we have a right to show the place. Be ready to waive your right to privacy. I am going to move out and I dont like creating scenes. But this is a cautionary tale. Btw... if you want to get out the lease early due to any reason then forget about it. They require 60 days notice plus 2 months penalty! x-2PE3sjUIIeetAHoKOk
