We lived in the complex for 7 years and we saw it getting worse and worse. It used to be nicely maintained - not anymore. Not since they got a new Building Manager.
When we vacated, we left the apartment spotless. To our surprise, we were charged $35 for oven cleaning, $30 for countertop damages and $25 for refrigerator damages.
None of the fees can be proved and we'll take them to court to recoup them.
Maintenance will be very quick with small repairs. Some of them are rude, especially on the phone.
Broken pipe under sink - use a bucket until someone will be available
Leaking windows when it rains - nothing can be done
No heat - use another blanket
and so on....
