Some things never change

I lived here from 1988 until 1995 when I was a kid. I was there shortly after Pine Lake Village became, Village Bridge. The original owner who landscaped the grounds and put up the aluminum siding, made the Village Bridge the ultimate place to live. There was a two year waiting list and my mom and I waited. We lived in unit 3512 and it was great. Shortly after we moved in, the complex went to a Cooperative community, and some people purchased their units. Shortly after, the complex went bankrupt and we moved. Even back then maintenance sucked, the grounds went to hell and the A/C never worked. If you decide to live in the two bedroom bi-level, make sure the window in the living room is caulked, or be preparred to sweat. Things leaked, especially the downstairs bathroom, however all in all it was a great place to live. For those of you live in the 3500 building, if you llo across the street, there used to be another building that backed the street, near the dumpster, neighborhood kids, broke into an apartment, robbed it and the torched the building. The complex, has never been 100% safe, but then again it is Lindenwold, not the nicest town in South Jersey, but definitely not the worst. I grew up there and went to school there. It's sad to hear that the place I called home has declined worst than what it was, but I am sure as is the case with this development, it will become the place again to live, just not in my lifetime.
