I signed a year lease in April 2004 and that night I dreaded it. The neighborhood is a nightmare. Any apartment you rent, a lot has to do with your neighbors, neighborhood, and other conditions not necessary the fault of the apartment complex. I had noisy neighbors that the apartment refused to deal with. I had to call the police on many occasions, it was that bad. There are frequent police cars stopping people in the complex and placing arrests. There is a liquor store right in front of the complex that I knew was a drug selling operation. I had to withhold rent just to have Maintence on my apartment. They would set appointments to fix it and then blow them off. This went on for 3 months until I threatened to withhold rent for breach of contract. The buildings themselves seem to be sinking. Furniture sags in the middle of the rooms, nothing stays against the wall straight. During the winter of 2005, high snow levels caused water to run down the walls within the apartment. It happens, I understand, but when I moved out in June 2005, it still wasn't fixed despite numerous complaints. Parking is a problem, if you get there too late in the day, prepare to walk. Some people there were too good for that and park in front of walkways in fire lanes. The only good part about this complex was the grounds. They looked nice and were maintained. I won't recommended this complex or Lindenwold in general.

What area are you in? I have lived here forever and have moved twice, the apartments are fantastic and I have never seen people hanging outside, or on the breezway. I have had a young neighbor next to me who would have a party, she would also let us know when, and make sure it was ok if the party was going on late.
