good and bad From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 11/6/2007 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2007   I have been living here for about three years- am a single female living alone, and a student. Good things: - BIG apts, lots of closet space, in general pretty good condition for the age of the apts- new paint and carpets when you move in. - Pretty safe- something I as a single woman am concerned about- never really felt unsafe in my first floor apt, no problems with breakins of my car or apt, car always safe in the lot, twice i called lindenwold police to escort me to my apt during summer months when there was a large group of teenage/twenty something guys sitting in front of one stoop and i didnt feel comfortable walking through- they came and escorted without any problem and were very friendly about it - tons of parking, well lit lots - Pool is nice size and well kept but gets crowded once kiddies are off of school- especially a lot of kids with no parents - Grounds are nicely kept, sidewalks level and well kept - Great cat pet policy- just 150 in extra deposit, none extra per month - Pretty friendly neighbors in general -Management is trying to make more of a community with newsletters, decorating contests, etc Bad things: - maintenance is s-l-o-w. If you have an emergency problem, the answering service and on call service is great- they will be out within an hour and fix whatever needed swiftly. The ac unit above my apt broke and they were out within an hour to fix it and stop the leak, but never came back to repaint my apt or shampoo the smelly rugs. Basically big problems are taken care of efficiently, small problems must be nagged nagged nagged to be fixed. - Recently there has been an upsurge in criminal activites- smelling weed when all the doors in the apt are open, you notice some drug deals going on in the parking lot occasionally - some parents let their kids run around without supervision- sometimes causing mischief by throwin rocks at signs, playing ball in the parking lot and not getting outta the way of cars - apts are very thin walled- GET AN UPSTAIRS APT, other wise you will hear your neighbors walking around - Landscaping company they hired should be fired- the men cat call at you and stop working to watch you walk by, thhey blow their grass clippings and leaves off the sidewalk into your car - Floors are not really level- be prepared to buy lots of shims for lighter furniture. - Management if friendly and nice, but incompetent. Be prepared to leave two or three messages about the same thing before something finally goes through. -Laundry rooms are gross and expensive but more convenient than laundromat Overall, well worth the price for the size and general conditions of the place, just be prepared to nag maintainence.
