This is not just apartment living on the beach but a community with restaurants, shops and a Golds gym. Recently a hotel was added along with a swimming pool. I spend a few hours on the beach every weekend in the summer. I commute into New York during the week and moved from Manhattan to Pier Village so I know all about high standards. For the rent we pay I am getting excellent service - security is around the clock and a phone call away if there is any kind of problem which is very important for someone like myself living alone as a single women. The staff in the office have always been professional and available to take deliveries and answer any concerns I have. I love my walk in closet and my bedroom is large enough for a Nordic track and a sofa along with a queen size bed. Maintenance usually arrives the same day if there is any work needed and they leave a notice on your door with the information on what was done. I can walk out of my apartment at 11 o'clock at night in the summer weekend months and find plenty of people walking around, coming out of the restaurants or visiting the Club at the Avenue for me to feel safe out walking. People come to Pier Village to have fun and there is a ambience - I am signing on for another year here. I would highly recommend living here and have no regrets giving up Manhattan for Long Branch. We have a free concerts every Thursday night during the summer months, Jazz at West End every Sunday evening and the restaurants also have live performances going on and the Ocean Place hotel next to us also has live bands playing at their outside bar. Anyone working from home would find this the perfect environment - we have a pizza shop or you can sit down at the Turning Point for lunch they have incredible salads no need to get into your car.

I moved into Pier Village almost a year ago into one of the brand new apartments. I have loved living in Pier Village! As stated above maintenance is great, efficient, and quick. I feel safe in my apartment at all times and can walk around the area at night and not worry. I love the fact that the building I'm living in has a garage attached to it and i do not even have to walk outside to get to my car, which is great in the winter time! I do wish we did not have to pay $55 a month for parking though, I feel that this should be included in my monthly rent. The apartments keep in the heat very well during the winter and I did not end up paying high heating bills which was nice. One problem I do have is that any guests who want to visit me have to pay $10 for 12 hours to park in Pier Village, or they have to move their car around every two hours and spend time trying to find a new spot which is hard to do in the summer time. The apartment itself is great with three huge windows and a full door window which leads out to the deck in the living room letting in tons of light! The living rooms are very large and open and there is tons of counter space in the kitchen to work with. The kitchen includes a dish washer, fridge, and microwave all brand new and modern. There is a washer and dryer included in the apartment as well. One problem with the apartment is closet space, I am renting a one bedroom apartment and was promised a walk in closet which is not what I got. The only storage in my apartment is the bedroom closet and hallway closet which is not close to enough. I have looked at the floor plans at other one bedrooms and saw that they do come with the walk in closets I was promised so if renting make sure you get what they tell you.
