Horrible!

The complex itself is ok. The good thing about is that it is in madison (a great city!) and its close proximity to downtown. Apartments range from newer nicer interiors to old and dingy. However, the services and superintendants that run this complex are so bad it makes it all not worth it! The complex is run by a management company out of morristown that you maybe meet when signing your lease but that is the only contact you have with them.
The rest of your contact has to be through
the superintendant who refuses to talk to tentants (saying hi as you pass him in the complex results in him giving you a nasty look and turning away)and refuses to answer their phone calls or any requests. Nothing gets done on the complex and when it does it is ironically first thing on a saturday or sunday morning so that they wake you up.
The superintendant is too busy illegally running businesses out of his apartment and the garages that he does not do anything around the complex - or care about anything.
There is a pool on the premises, but some summers they never even open the pool! If they do, it is rarely cleaned. The times it is open depends on a lifeguard who never shows up for duty and therefore the pool stays closed most days anyhow.
Construction projects are started and then just left - equipment, wood, etc left out in the complex. It is a VERY dangerous place for children.
A "river" runs through the center of the complex, however it is just the output from the sewer. The superintendant throws all of his garbage in the "river" for some reason, attracking all kinds of skunks, raccoons, groundhogs, rats, etc.
If you complain to the management company, the superintendants will not only yell at you for calling, they will take it out on you in other ways(sketchy ways), and you never hear from the management company. I could go on and on about how ridiculous this place is but it is such a racket everyone is afraid to even voice an opinion about how much it sucks!

Ridiculous. Please note that this apparently dissatisfied tenant was FORCED to live there for 12years. Sounds like sour grapes to me for what appears to have been a personality conflict with a superintendant. Management is in fact responsive and wants to be advised of any problems. There are many long term tenants living there who also must have been FORCED to endure. The "anonymous" writer must be fully aware of what "libel" means.

Not so ridiculous. I lived there for 4 years and can attest that the superintendant runs the place like his own little fiefdom. He is neither pleasant or accommodating and does have other outside interests that require his use of valuable garage space to house those interests. He was slow in responding to residents requests or dealing with problems on a timely basis. While it is true that no one is ??forced?? to live there, it is convenient to downtown and a short walk to the train station. Madison does not have a lot of rental property that matches this description, which probably is why the property owners have allowed the condition to exist.
