My biggest complaint here is maintenance. I was robbed here (only took a bucket of dimes for some reason). I suspect it was maintenance (though I have no proof). Since that time, I try to schedule maintenance visits when I'm home. They don't like this. Trying to set an appointment is like pulling teeth. They either don't come at all, or are an hour or more late.
Occasionally there are roaches, but this doesn't bother me too much as it seems to be only during the spring, and late summer. One bug a day, I can live with.
I had a problem also with a leaky roof, that ended up creating a whole in the kitchen. They did a horrible patch job, and it wasn't until they replaced the entire roof, that it was fixed.
I've had a re-occuring problem with squirrels in the attic. This has been a nightmare, and it's to the point where the property manager told me there was nothing else they could do, and asked if I wanted to break my lease. She obviously didn't want to keep me there.
The walls are thin... I can here my neighbor while she's talking on the telephone. The other 3 neighbors I do not hear, so maybe it's just one loud neighbor'
I will be moving if I can find a better place at reasonable rates.
Parking is good as long as you don't come home after 11pm. I occasionally will have to park on the other side (about 2 blocks away).
The best thing about Fox Meadow Apartments is the cost. But the old saying applies... You get what you pay for.
One other thing I shoudl mention... When I was dealing directly with the property manager, she was often times not in, and they told me she was in court. This was a big red flag for me, because that tells me there are others who are having serious problems with this complex.
