The Parking :(

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 1999
I remeber when I lived there, this was back in '99. I lved back on Oakwood Drive, in one of the apartments that my front door was right on the street, no parking lot in front of it.
I always had to walk a little ways to get to my apartment. And if it was at night, forget it, I wasn't parking anywhere NEAR my apartment! I bartended back then. So I was coming home late almost everynight. One night I either had the choice of 1) Parking at a lot a few hundred yards away, down Oakwood, or 2) Parking my car on the street directly infront of my Apt. I decided the latter, with my being a woman and not feeling comfortable walking so late at night with wads of cash in my purse...Needless to say, got a ticket from the Mapleshade police for $10.00...and trust me it adds up.
At night, there where lots of cars on different spots of the grass, I'm sure each one praying like I did to not receive a ticket. I of course did my complainig, to no avail, though.
I eventually started driving my car back behind my apartment, next to my sliding glass door. I was able to do it, because I was on the end unit at the beginning of the Cul-De-Sac on Oakwood. I had woods in my back yard, so it wasn't really upsetting anyone. And I actually got the idea from my next door neighbor!!
They also tried to up my rent during my current lease, from $655.00 to $675.00 They did that 8 months into my first lease with them. I would give them a check for $655.00, I would get a letter stating they were charging me a late fee for the other $20.00...That was horrible on their part.
What a nightmare it was living there. I ran and never looked back.
