I was supposed to move into these apts., but once I saw these ratings, I figured why move from one bad complex into another one for more money!
And then to top it off, once I advised the office that I wasn't moving in, they kept the $99 deposit! Friggin jerks!
I was basing my move into these apts. from about 10 years ago - I guess back then things were a lot different.

We are trying to use these reviews (with a grain of salt) to help us decide where to live. How can this person give a review of a place that s/he has never lived??? As for the deposit, of course they kept it - that's why it's called a deposit.

I'm glad to see that some potential residents are using the reviews to help decide where they will move. Moving is a costly proposition and Maplewood is not all that it is cracked up to be, although it could be with the right people managing the complex. Broken down, untagged vehicles are ignored (parking is a definite issue here). Management has a right insure that only residents and legally registered vehicles occupy parking spaces. Tenants should not have to do their job for them. What management counts on is that when they tell the tenant to put their complaint in written form that most tenants will just forget about it. Maybe they are afraid of retaliation or they want to remain anonymous. I am a tenant and do live here. KEEP LOOKING, you haven't found a good complex in Maplewood.
