Not "Park Crossing" but "Dark Crossing"

Now that the subcontractor for the Verizon Fios lines has cut through most of the electrical lines that lead to the PSE&G street lights in the complex, not to mention the exterior building lights, we should change the name to "DARK CROSSING" it seems more fitting. Calling the office to complain does no good. It's a shame that no one cares, but then again the office staff leaves the grounds before dark so why should they care.

Lived here?

Relax. A badly decomposed body does not necessarily mean something happened here in this complex. The unit it was found near is right off of Rt. 73. Someone could have easily drove by and dumped the body there. I'm sure a neighbor wasn't out in his boxers with a shovel trying to bury remains next door to you. Fact is, murder is everywhere and hiring a security guard to sleep half the night while he's not being supervised just so they can raise our rent to pay for his lack of security is not the answer. If you want security go move into a gated community somewhere. But make sure the gate goes all the way around so bodies cant get dumped from the main road. There's a reason we dont pay 2500 a month to live here. Crime is everywhere, open your eyes and watch the news once in a while. Even the neighborhoods with half million dollar houses have crime, sometimes worse than around here at Maplewood. I could see if there were shootings and stabbings here all the time but there isnt. Its a very safe community that has its occasional problem like the rest of the world. You might be better off to build yourself a lead basement.

Actually, if you did watch the news the kid whose body was found here was dropped off here at Maplewood by his father to visit friends and was never seen again and he actually lived here at one time with his mother. So, if your going to accuse someone of not watching the news you better make sure your watching yourself. And as for the rent let's talk about how they keep raising the rent to "beautify" the complex... cutting trees down to plant new ones.... there's money well spent!

yes i agree the windows need to be replaced and i completely agree with the parking.. my neighbor at one point NO LIE had 5 cars. But i went to the office and they did something about it and now we are so lucky cause instead of 5 they now have 4. ugh. Sorry, its just you read all this negative stuff on here about this place and its really not that bad. It could be alot worse and i feel bad for the management now especially with the dead body found because they have just redone all of the places they can and i can only imagin how hard it is now to get people to rent here. There are issues.. but there are issues everywhere. But im aware that everyone is entitled to their opinion its just old reading about the same issues over and over. If they have not been fixed now they prob. wont be fixed for a long time. I guess its just something we have to live with for a while until we decide to move. But i love living here and i feel very safe here, the windows suck in the winter cause its freezing and sucks in the summer cause its hot in the houses but i guess it could be worse.

about this comment....4 out of the 6 people in the office live onsite and have small children. They are very concerned. It is PSE&G not doing their job. The office staff cannot climb the pole themselves and fix the problem. All they can do is call and call again.

I was thinking about moving here. There was a dead body found here? Is this place unsafe. My options are between here and Fox Meadow. What should I do?

This complex is by far better, safer, and nicer than Fox Meadows. Yes, a young man was murdered and buried between the ramp on Route 73 and one of the buildings. He was not a resident. Sad, but unfortunately these things happen all over. Park Crossing is morphing into a really nice community.
