This was my first apartment ever. I went to talk to the leasing agent, Michelle, at the time. She was very nice and very helpful. She knew I was a single girl and she made sure I was placed right next to the leasing office with harmless nieghbors. I was very happy for my first year there.

Parking was adequate.
I did not have bugs.
They gave me brand new carpet.
It was freshly painted.
Maintenance always responded quickly. (I am the type that I call every day until the problem is fixed if they do not respond quickly anyway. I being young and naive thought that as soon as I call maintenance should come out the same exact day. I did not know any better.)

Basically everything was new except for the bathroom which was bearable(it really needed to be redone, the tiles looked nasty). The only problem on move in is that they did not clean the bathroom before I moved in. It actually had someone's old bar of soap. YUCK!

I remember seeing some business men outside in December 06. I KNEW in my heart that the apartment complex was being sold. And somehow I KNEW it would not be good.

I moved out in Oct 07 when my lease was up. They were putting my rent up to an unreasonable amount. I never had any particular problems with Metric but I can just tell that they care more about the bottom line than people. They were also hiring some shady people. And I KNOW I got out just in time.

complaints: Once there was actually a homeless person sleeping outside of the office. I felt threatened being a single girl.

The windows are very drafty. It is freezing in the winter because of this no matter how high you turn up your heat. It is hot in the winter time.

The air conditioning unit is not sufficient for the apartment.

Yes, Michelle was very nice. It was Michelle that worked with us when we moved here in 2004. For some reason they fired her. I guess they didn't want to keep her around because she cared and was kind. Im not surprised you saw a homeless person sleeping outside the office. It was a homeless person, a couple of months back, that started a fire in one of the empty units while trying to keep warm. You were very lucky to have moved out when you did. Some of us are not able to move out because of personal reasons, so we are trapped in this complex from hell. My family and I dream of the day we are able to leave this dump behind. This place we have to pay an arm and a leg for. This drafty, cold, moldy, noisy dump.
