Although times are tough, and yes the rent here is sort of decent for the size of the apartment you're getting, keep searching to a place where you can find staff that respects you as a person, and your home. Although you are a renter, you still have rights, rights that the management team disregards to the T. They have a disclaimer that staff can enter your apartment at any time for "emergencies" or "with reasonable notice". Here are a few examples of what I have gone through: Example 1. Verizon FIOS Installation: The notice had the 19th listed on there, they entered on the 18th and threw my clothes everywhere (wiring had to be done through the closet). Second notice dated the 15th, I had my closet cleared a day early, but they never showed up.
Example 2: All communication from management will state their point but will also include the words "failure to oblige is a VIOLATION of your LEASE and is grounds for TERMINATION in which you will pay for ATTORNEY FEES". You will NEVER NEVER receive a friendly reminder. And all communication is sent through your mail slot, they will never pick up the phone or send you a decent letter. Its so frustrating when you come home from a long day at work and have to read this.
Example 3: Contractors living on premises FOR FREE will take up 2-3 parking spots in front of the apartment even though they have OVERSIZED vans and will refuse to park on the side where there is AMPLE space. As a PAYING resident with only ONE small sedan, I should be allowed to park in front of my apartment. They back their van up so the tires are touching the sidewalk and the extended back of the van makes it impossible to walk on the sidewalk. Their empty beer bottles, cig packs and food will be on the front lawn. Not to mention that their loud music will be enough to make your apartment vibrate. One call to the Maple Shade Police Department took care of that, instead of the NINE calls/visits to management.

Honestly, I could keep going but I wont. I only have one nice thing to say, and that was one maintenance staff (Jerry) who is the sweetest man you will ever meet. Went totally out of his way to fix the problem, and explained it to you. Hope he is still there.

They are trying to make this into one of those luxury type places, but we are in MAPLE SHADE NEW JERSEY, not BEL AIR. Just b/c you put in granite countertops, and a nicer management office, DOES NOT make you luxury, you're only catching up to your competitors in Cherry Hill and Mt. Laurel (where you can charge more for location).

Okay one last thing and I'm off, the rates provided on apartmentguide.com are WRONG. Its only to entice you and then they will say they have no units at the lower end of the price, and of course, they will make sure they say Prices are subject to change without notice, so when you go in, the rent will be $100 - $200 more than what you saw on the site.

DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!

This is the most ridiculous rating I've read yet! I wasn't here during the Fios install, but I have had several necessary inspections done for the state and other purposes and all of the communication I've received from the office has been very respectful. I've gotten plenty of notice, and when I requested to be called ahead of time due to having a pet they were happy to oblige. I have loved living here. The office staff plans resident parties and other activities for us as well as community projects like Food Drives, Blood Drives and Toys for Tots. Just keep in mind that is absolutely impossible to please EVERYONE 100% of the time when reading any negative comment. Park Crossing is a great place to call home.

While my own review of Park Crossing was very positive, I have to agree with the author about the large trucks parking in front of the apartments. I had always wondered about them and now I know the story. If what the author says about them is true then I agree that the contractors should park their oversized vehicles elsewhere, thereby freeing up the regular sized spaces in front of the units for the paying residents. It's the least they could do and it's a simple case of common courtesy. I would think that this is something that the management team should take care of addressing.
