The place is not worth your money. I moved in on March 26th 2006. Since the begginning it was a nightmare. Do not move in unless you have seen the apartment y ou will be moving in and you had let them know of any cracks, water leaks, smells or any sort or those things, believe they will come back and blame it on you. Anyway, since I had just relocated due to work, I need to find a place close to work and safet, well Paula Gleaseon one of the leasing consultant was very convence of the places and took here word for it and sing up my lease without seeing the kind of nightmare I was getting myself into it. As soon as I walked in the apartment there was a cat pee smell, at first I thoght I was me, but then moving helpers started to commnent as how bad the place smell. I immidiately contacted the office and explained about the cat's pee smell, It took them mnore than three weeks for Brenda the residential manager to authorized to have the rug removed and replaced with a new one. Brenda, the residencial mananger was refusing the change the rug, so she first sent a rug cleanning service to clean the rug and put chemicals in the rug, that did not work and because the chemicals were so strong I could not stay in the apartment. To further complicate things, I got water leaks in the living room, the small laundry room and in one of the closets. The leak in closet ruined all my graduation school books. I called them immidiately about the leaks and the damage that i had caused and their responsed was to get rental insurance. MAKE SURE TO DEFINATLEY GET RENTALS INSURANCE YOU WILL NEEDED IF YOU DECIDE TO RENT IN ROBERST MILLS. The next thing was the ceiling fan in the kitchen. The fan broke and it took them three months to get the fan replaced. I kept complaining about a gas smell, they came once and did not find anything but, the apartment that I was renting wich was 105 Matlack Road, had a strong gas odor, that they could not figured out. Since I never saw the apartment before I moved, I was surprised to see the bathroom towel holders, that were ugly patched in. Instead of them replace it the towel holder, they used the same broken one and ugly patched them. Make sure if you moved in you have a full washer and dryer....they called it a full dryer but it is not they are old portable washer and dryer.
After a year leaving in there I had enough....since they decided to raise the rent and to make the residents to pay for water......I decided to move out, it was a big fiasco since I was supposed to have been month by month and the assistant manager that no longer works there, never let anyone know about it. Brenda, the manager charged prorated the charged, so I eneded paying 500 extra for rent. In addition to that I needed to have the carpet professional clean and have the apartment clean. I have dog and had to pay a fee of 50.00 @ month to have my dog......they are supposed to provide you with doggie bags, and 80% of the time the containers do not have any bags, and the doggie pup is not collected for days....the place is not secure people goes in and out as they please, there is no security gate at all....and pretty much they rent to anyone that will come and rent from them......I moved out on July 31st, and I was waiting for security deposit, after three months I finally got it and to m y surprised they had short change me because according to Melissa, the assistant manager the place had an animal odor...so they used my security deposit to paid for it. PLEASE LOOK AROUND, DO NOT RENT IN ROBERTS MILL APARMENTS, THEY HAVE HIDDEN FEES THAT THEY DO NOT LET YOU KNOW UNTIL YOU HAD MOVE IN......THEY WILL SQUEEZE EVERY PENNY YOU HAVE.....TAKE MY ADVISE DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM ROBERTS MILLS, WHICH IS LOCATED IN MAPLE SHADE, NEW JERSEY.
