Security deposit thieves!!!!!

I heard that Davis is notorious for not returning security deposits. I now know that it is true. Not only are they keeping my money, they are trying to charge me an extra $1,000.00 for ridiculous charges such as $75.00 to put carpet in the dumpster. they claim that my aprtment was dirty and they have pictures that thye took a month after I left. Be forwarned!!!!!! when you leave, dont expect any money back

I've always found it a good idea to do a move-out walk through with them so the paperwork is signed by them in front of you. I've gotten screwed like that before, so that's what I do now and it's been successful. Sorry about what happened to you. :-(

I've also found it useful to take pre move-in photos of the place (including floors, walls, ceilings, etc...) document any damage and give it to the apt manager and keep a copy with your lease agreement. Review the photos on move out and photgraph any discrepancies or damage. :-)
