I have only lived here for about five months, but in that span I have figured out that this may be one of the most poorly run apartments complexes ever. Before we moved into our apartment we were shown the actual apartment that would be ours. Walking around we noticed some things that needed to be fixed before we moved in. The first and most important issue was the outside deck. There were and are still numerous problems that are potentially dangerous. We noticed that towards the front ledge of the deck the wood was very soft(I could put my foot through it)from the fact that the overhang does not cover the entire deck. The second problem was that there was chickenwire cover the broken spindles that go around the bottom portion of the railing. This is all besides the fact that the railing itself is loose. We brought these things to the attention of the office right away. They said that everyhting would be taken care of before we moved in. To our surprise(then, not now) nothing was done to the deck except that they removed the chickenwire. That was August,2002. Five months later and about 10 work orders and visits to the office these issues still have not been resolved. The last thing we were told was that they bring in an outside contractor to do that sort of work and that of course it would be weather permitting. I guess we havn't had a nice day to do outside construction since August!!! I wonder how they are building an entire new building with such awful weather. What a joke!!!! There are so many other little things that my wife and I have requested that should be done before someone moves that I could write a book i.e. painted over a/c/heater vents, loose railing around out entrance to our apt. on the third floor, as well as, the piles of glass that we reported at the bottom of our stairwell(which again we were told they couldn't pick that up because it was raining that day, it's still there!!!) And now on top of all of this this place has a history of fires. As we watched the building right next to ours burn on Sat. we had more than one firefighter tell us that this place should be condemned not only because of the fire proofing problems, but also because any owner that treats his tenants like this should not be in charge of the safety of so many other human lives. To sum all of this up WE ARE MOVING OUT!!!!!!
