My lease started 1 Dec 07. My first experiance with this place happened 1 Jun 08. I noticed some mold growing on the baseboard of my bedroom floor. It took many many phone calls to the office and not to mention many phone calls to the "corporate office" to get something done about this. Maintenace finally came in and "fixed" the mold by "putting sealer on it". That is not how to fix this problem. Come 1 Oct 08 the mold has not only come back but it has spread, and spread to some of my furniture! I had to get the health dept. of Burlington Co. involved in this. Stoney Run does not care nor do they jump at any problem dealing with the apartments in question. They deal with it "how they want to" and "when they want to" and that's only after you call and complain a million times, and even then, they only do a half ass job. Me and my next door neighbor have moved out of this God awful place for the same reason. Not only this, but the walls are paper thin and you hear everyone shutting there doors (it sounds as if they are slamming them, and it's quite annoying!) My upstairs nieghbor stomps around like she has 100 lb weights on her feet and no joke, she lets her little yappy dog bark for hours on end. I don't know about the rest of you, but I need my rest, I work for a living. I have tried to talk to her, I've yelled at her, but nothing has changed. I'm not even going to "bother" the office with this complaint, because they can't even fix my MOLD issue properly or in a timely manner. I doubt they will care about the noise. One more thing...I was talking to my neighbor and he had mentioned to me that military gets a "rate" at these apartments. He said he had a friend who was in the military and got his rent cut in half. Well let me tell you, that they don't charge everyone the same. I'm in the military as well and am paying full price. They are even going to "up" my rent by $20 like "everyone else" or so they say. Even with the crap they have been putting me thru since June. Mold is not like a broken light fixture...it's MOLD! A SERIOUS health issue. This place is ridiculous and if I were you, I'd run for my life. DO NOT MOVE HERE!

So move if you don't like it. Reading your email, it sounds like some of the problems have nothing to do with Stoney Run, but instead... ignorant or thoughtless neighbors. Do you realize that the duty to "police" them falls on no one unless they're breaking laws or Stoney Run's community standards?? It's an impossible, no-win task. Stoney Run can't help if your neighbors walk "heavy" or their dog barks. Certain civil and privacy laws prevent this. Stoney Run is just as much the victim as you are in this. Were they supposed to know this before the person signed a lease and moved in??? Maybe YOU need to get a ball in your pants and go tell "said neighbor" that it would really help your very important schedule if they could walk quieter. ....Or ask them if they know their dog's barking goes right through the walls. A lot of times, people just are dopey and not aware. But I can tell you're one of those people ..that feel it's always someone else's job to do yours. You're a whiney wimp!!! WHHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! HEY EVERYONE NOTICE MY PAIN!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAA!! WHY ARE YOU ALL DOING THIS TO ME?!?!?!? WAAAAAAA!!!!! Get it????? Somehow, I think not. My advise is to buy a house in the country. Then you can have the perfect world you desire. That's what I did. You should not live in an "apartment", and then freak out that there are people who do not behave and live exactly like you living there. That's why it's called "an apartment". Do you go to the beach and complain about the sand up your ass??? Somehow I think you do. I feel bad for the grains of sand that are up your ass. But I'd still rather be them than you. I weep for whoever has to sit or stand next to you on a daily basis. "60 Building Alumni" ps: Judging by your command of the English language, and your email's run-on grammar; .......stay in school.

I am a long time resident of the Villge Of Stoney Run. As with any experience in life, there is good and bad.I for one can tell you that the benefits far out way the little inconviences that may arise. As with a house or any other place you may live, sooner or later something will happen to disrupt your everday life. It has been my experience that when something does go wrong,it is remedied in a sufficent amount of time. As an example, my hot water tank went out on a Sunday evening and was replaced the very next morning. If you ever get achance, ask a home owner how many days it takes to get a plumber in to replace a hot water tank. I dont always take stock in what I hear from any neighbors. If I want to know something I call the office and ask,as I did about the military issue. I called and did not identify myself as a tenant and asked about a special rate and they explained that under no circumstances do they discount military or any other org..They are however running a special on rents that is available to any new applicant. I wonder why anyone else would not call and get the facts? Seems everyone has a friend that knows everything....did you ask him who you should vote for in the presidential election?

i lived there about 10 years ago.....I had the same problem with the mold. We were on the bottom floor. My son was 3 or 4 and had a "mates" bed. Well when we went to move, there was MOLD UNDER HIS BED.......he had been sleeping there. UGH..stoney run paid for my sons new furniture. and I think I did not have to pay my last months rent. Guess they did not want me to sue...GROSS PLACE

Read your lease. You have the right to quiet enjoyment. Remind the management of this in writing, citing the clause in the lease. They have to go to your neighbor and insist on them not annoying you, especially after a certain hour. I lived in Stoney Run for a number of years and enjoyed them all, except when my upstairs neighbor let their kid run and jump all over the apartment at all hours. The kid was stir crazy. They never let him out. After I tried talking with the parents to no avail, the manager (Pat, at that time) handled it and the noise stopped.
