Frustrating Experience

We've been looking at apartments in the area for a while, and Allison had been on the top of our list. It received great ratings, it's nice in person, and the floor plans seem spacious. However, here is why we won't be moving there.

Allison Apartments expects you to give them a deposit when you apply, not when you get the apartment. In our case it would have been a $1326 deposit plus the $60 credit check fee. But the apartment that they would be setting aside for us wouldn't be available for 5 more months and we wouldn't even be able to see it because people are still living there.

And on top of all of that, I've had the worst experience with their management. Whatever you do, avoid Meg in their office. She's a completely inept moron who doesn't know what she's talking about and on top of that she's rude. If you have the money to rent from this place, talk to Alice instead.

What what I've learned, Allison Apartments is geared towards Senior Citizens. They have their life savings to draw from to get that advance security deposit, and they scoop up all the first floors. Over the phone Alice was listing the pros of the complex and included (much to my surprise) that there were no playgrounds and very few young children. Personally I would definitely prefer young children playing than senior citizens complaining about the noise you make as you walk around your second floor apartment.

We will most likely be moving to Haynes Run Apartments instead. Ann and Tammy, the management there, are fantastic.

I have been living at Allison apartments for
two months and believe me Allison is a wonderful place to live. There are not many children there.
Personally, I enjoy the quiet that Allison offers. The maintance is great, the apartment is beautiful. EVERYTHING was brand new when my husband and I moved it. I love it! I recommend it! So far it is great! I don't believe that the
security deposit is unfair at all. If you want to live in a really good place you have to pay for it! That is life!
