I like living at Hunters Chase

am always amazed when I read reviews that come across so angry and bitter. It has been my experience in life with people such as this, that they're probably angry about everything in their lives, and that they have entirely too much time on their hands.
I have lived at Hunters Chase for over 3 Years. My husband and I were thrilled when we found this place. We were looking for a 2-Bedroom, 2-Bath Apartment that didn't look like an apartment. We found that the apartments at Hunters Chase resembled Condos which was nice. We also were hoping to get an apartment with a deck, A/C, and a Washer/Dryer. We got that too! In addition, it also came with a fireplace. Not a gas fireplace, but a real wood burning fireplace. That was the icing on the cake.
The fact that they allowed dogs was a bonus too. We began looking at all the shelters and we were able to adopt a beautiful dog 2 months after we moved in.
I will admit the smell that comes from the water treatment plant is disturbing, to say the least, but is so infrequently noticeable that we chose to just live with it. (It really depends which way the wind is blowing)
As for the dog poop situation, I accredit it to human nature. I've seen it time and time again, when people don't own their own home, the get a weird attitude about cleanliness. For my husband and I, wherever we have lived, whether it be a rental or ownership, we have always taken pride and picked up after ourselves and others to keep things clean. It is not the managements fault that people are PIGS! There are laws that if you own a dog and it poops outside on the premises, that you must pick it up and dispose of it. They don't! I've actually yelled at a couple of people when I saw they were just going to walk away and leave it there.
The management that's in place now is great! Tara is a sweet and wonderfully caring individual, who is simply trying to do her job and MANAGE 300 plus apartments, that contain 300 plus different personalities. VERY DIFFICULT if you ask me. I have never had a problem occur that wasn't properly addressed. When something has been broken, it's been fixed. Then again, my husband and I aren't whiny, complaining, idiotic & unreasonable people. The complainers should be grateful that they didn't have to deal with the last manager here. She was awful. Now there is a sense of calm and caring that go hand in hand when you walk into the leasing office. Tara is great. So are Kathy, Christina and Taris.
I've seen it time and time again, the people that do the most bitching are the ones that are also not following the rules of the lease they have signed. I had a woman living downstairs from me a year ago that got really pissy with the people in the office because she wanted to leave and have them use her security deposit for her last months rent. When they told her no, she was absolutely incredulous about it. If she had only read her lease (the one she signed) then she would have known ahead of time that they don't do that. First of all the security deposit doesn't equal a months rent (which I personally found refreshing!), and that security was to be returned after the tenants moved out to ensure against any damage that might have been done to the apartment. But, because she needed the money she expected them to go against the rules. I told her that I didn't agree with her and explained why and she then realized what she was asking, but still expected them to "be reasonable" and give her what she wanted. WHY' Because our society doesn't believe in rules anymore. And if they do, it's only their rules not others'
I think that our society, as a whole, (especially the ones under 40 years of age) think that the world at large owes them. I attribute it to the lack of parenting skills that have besieged our culture over the last 25 years. You people need to realize that some thing in this world are our own responsibility! WAKE UP AMERICA.
Oh and I must address the morons comment about the illegal landscapers; I worked for a large landscaping company once and believe it or not, most of the workers that you see are actually brought into this country legally for seasonal work. You my friend need to stop complaining and start reading or doing something else besides write ridiculous letters that make you only look like the worlds biggest A-hole!
In closing, I'll say it again, aside from the numerous wacko tenants that I am forced to live with, being a renter and all, I like living at Hunters Chase. It is the best around.
