Wonderful, safe, gorgeous, and roomy...

I can't say enough about this place. I did a lot of research on apartments in the area before finally deciding on Sagemore, and I have not regretted it since. In fact, I would buy this place if I could. Yes, the rent is higher compared to other places in the area--however, you are paying for the safest, quietest, roomiest apartment you'll ever live in. I can walk to the mailbox about 20 yards from my door and leave my front door unlocked if I like. There are never any strange characters roaming the streets, and there are mostly nice, friendly elderly people living here. The walls are thick, and only if it's dead, dead silent might you hear a soft mumble from an adjoining apartment.
The parking is adequate, and you are always guaranteed your covered carport spot, which is marked by your apt. number and is great if you want to keep your car clean during snowy days. Speaking of which, they plow the streets and walkways and salt right away. They allow small dogs and cats in certain sections, and my dog has a huge open field in the back of our place to run if he wants. I never hear noise from other dogs in the complex, and people are generally good about picking up the #2.
The apartments are HUGE. My bedroom has huge furniture in it and I could still do cartwheels in it. There's a master bath of a nice size and a little half bath. Our deck is secluded in that our neighbors can't see over onto our deck and it faces a line of pine trees. The enclosed front porch is also great so you don't get soaked with rain while trying to open the door.
The grounds are well kept. They cleaned up leaves immediately in the fall, and everything is always tidy and looking great. The clubhouse where the little gym is is open all the time, I'm pretty sure, and because it requires a key card to get in, I'm never afraid for my life when I'm in there exercising. The pool is large and well-maintained, though I have yet to see what it's like in the summer.
Our kitchen is really big for an apartment, and although I'm not a fan of electric ranges, ours has yet to let us down. The breakfast nook is a very nice size, big enough for a table seating four or maybe even six. Lots of closet space, and an awesome storage room off the dining room/den.
I could go on and on. One disclaimer: the area is a bit heavy on traffic. You are close to at least 3 supermarkets, but Route 73 is often enough to make you go bonkers with the volume of traffic. If you can go the "back way" to your work or you're retired or work at home, it's perfect. Otherwise, you may be in for a bit of a haul to work. And getting places on the weekends is a bit of a challenge. Although, you are close to some of the biggest shopping centers in the area, so happy spending!
I highly recommend this place, and even if I have to pay a little more to live where I *know* I won't see crime, drugs, hear noise, deal with obnoxious people, I can certainly say it's worth it. A beautiful place to live, and the management is consistently helpful and friendly. We needed our garbage disposal fixed after living here a few weeks and the maintenance dept. responded immediately.
Oh, I did want to mention: Pet rent is the cheapest in the area. $10 per month, and your deposit at the start of your lease is refundable if Mr. Dog or Ms. Cat doesn't wreck the place. So many pluses, I can't endorse it enough.
