Why did I move here'

Im not sure where that red-haired lady lives, but I would sure like to move into her apartment. I wish all I could hear were a soft muffle in the dead of night. I moved into Sagemore at the end of March and I am beginning to think about giving my two months notice. On the day I moved in I was greeted with the downstairs neighbors slamming their front door, not once but multiple times. I was also enchanted with their, Im assuming, grandchild screaming, banging the walls, slamming the closet, or was it the bathroom door. Not really sure, all I know is that they were slamming the door so hard the floor would shake and it produced a big booming noise. The real joy is that your bedroom is right next to the front door, so you dont get to miss the slamming when you're sleeping.

So far, have spent the last few weeks listening to this and other noises coming from the downstairs apartment. Ive come to the conclusion that they enjoy slamming everything from cabinet doors to front doors to washing machine lids to just about anything. It seems they act as if no one else is within 50 miles of their vicinity. Either these people are extremely deaf or are incapable of respecting anyone elses right to quiet enjoyment.

Then came Easter Sunday. Im not sure how many guests they had but it seemed they all came over not to celebrate the religious event but to hold a major door slamming party. From approximately eleven in the morning until eight that night I was inundated with someone or other slamming the hell out of some door in the vicinity of the front door. You have to realize that the floor has a couple of inches of concrete, but they were able to slam the door so hard that I could feel the floor shake. And the noise was load enough to wake the dead. The majority of door slamming happened between eleven and four in the afternoon while dying off around eight.

Then there are the cooking odors that come up through the water heater flue and for some reason also into the bathroom. This isnt a daily thing, but when it does happen your forced to open all the windows just to get fresh air, especially if you dont like the smell of what their cooking. It seems the upstairs and downstairs apartments share a common flue that the water heater and furnace use to vent carbon monoxide. Since cooking odors can leak into my apartment through this common vent I am wondering if carbon monoxide is also venting into my apartment from my neighbors water heater and furnace downstairs.

I also had the thrill of coming home one night to find one of my neighbors parking partway into my reserved covered parking space. I had just enough space to park my vehicle, but I can guarantee you that that person was unable to enter their SUV on the drivers side. I couldnt give them more leeway because I have a post next to my space.

I have to agree that the apartments are rather large, although I am disappointed with the refrigerator. Its rather small and I cant remember whether the model had a larger one. So far, if I had known what was going on here I would have moved to a different apartment. I was told that I wouldnt experience the same issues I experienced at Brook View.

All I know is that I have lived in four apartments since coming to New Jersey and I can say that they are the most overpriced, noisy, with the lousiest neighbors. Well that has been my experience so far. Ive lived in Woodview at Marlton, Ramblewood, Brook View, and Sagemore. Ive only been at Sagemore for less than a month and if what I have experienced so far is what I can look forward to for the next eleven months. Then I plan on giving my two months notice and moving out is management gives me the same crap I got from the management at Brook View. I do not intend on spending another year like I did at Brook View listening to asinine neighbors with screaming kids that slam doors all the while paying exorbitant prices for rent while management claims there is nothing they can do about it. You know, these people should read their own leases. If you have no intention of enforcing rules to quiet enjoyment of your apartment then you shouldnt include the statement in the lease.

Currently I couldnt recommend moving here. I realize that probably not every apartment at Sagemore has these issues. And alot depends on your neighbors. So far Im tired of listening to the door slams and smelling cooking odors from food Im not cooking. Luckily I dont have to smell tobacco smoke. If it wasnt for the disturbing door slamming the few other slight problems could be overlooked.

I was looking to rent an apartment in Sagemore even though I know they are way over priced. However, after reading these reviews I think I will stay where I am thank you.
