If $$ isn't an issue...

I agree with the review below, this complex is not heading in the right direction. I moved in 2 years ago as my first non-college apartment. I moved away from my family to a new area and was extremely impressed with everything that Marlton has to offer. This complex is walking distance from the Genuardi's shopping center plus The Promenade, which is a huge plus. I run outside and found many peaceful neighborhoods nearby. The park nearby is a great asset. The apartment itself worked well for me in my first year, a little pricey for someone with their first job, but I could not find anything much cheaper that had the storage space and amenities (washer/dryer, etc.) that this place did. After 1 year I moved within the complex to a 2 bedroom with a roommate, which made the almost $950 affordable, however there wasn't much more space. We did like our upstairs apartment better b/c there was less noise from toilets flushing and people walking around. The skylights are a plus as well. During my second year, however, the maintenance person changed. Our drain clogged weekly, and when I called to have it fixed, I most likely had to call back 3 or 4 days after because he never came to fix it. Another issue was the rent increase. My one bedroom started at $780 in 2004 and was increased to $830 in 2005. I moved to a 2 bedroom in 2005 which was $890 and it then increased to $938 in 2006. I don't see this changing, but I also don't see any of the amenities changing for the better. My roommate is moving out, so I am now moving to a different apartment complex with cheaper rent and some utilities included. It does not offer the same charming neighborhood and storage space within the apartments, but it does offer cheaper rent. I would recommend this complex if money is not an issue...
