Lots of promises made when I signed the lease. New management was extremely nice until you signed that lease. There were a lot of issues with heat and electricity upon moving in. They do not consider either one an "emergency." Sure there's an emergency number to call, someone may come out to check the problem only to tell you that you have to wait until they're back in the office on Monday. To me, that's unacceptable. Be hopeful that none of your emergencies happen on the weekend. Or better yet, think twice if you are renting with children. While going through those problems all I kept saying is thank god, I don t have a child. Parking is horrible since they filled the units. If you come home after 11 p.m. on the weekend, good luck finding a place to park. There isn't even street parking available at times. Good luck doing your laundry, there are not enough washers and dryers and our facilities are used by lots of other people who do not live in Matawan Station. I ll stop here; however, I could go on. I have given up calling the office. You feel like nothing more than an annoyance. I believe there is one person taking calls, I believe it s the manager and this management company has other properties in the area (Ken Gardens is one). I suppose they are not concerned with referrals or people signing on for another year or more for that matter. I don t get it. The units are nice, but please, stop people and ask them how they like living there before you sign. I wish I had done that.
