Over the years the noise caused by tenants [primarily their children] and their outrageous behavior [i.e., garbage left outside their door, slamming front doors] has become increasingly worse. Despite a distinct 'no pets' clause in the lease, tenants are allowed to have dogs on the premises. They bark throughout the night and are blatantly out and about the property for their daily walks. For hours on end children are allowed to run around the complex with no adult supervision. Over the last 72 hours there have been fireworks shot off in parking lots, remote control car races through the complex, and teens hanging aimlessly in groups of 7 or eight until all hours of the night. For professional peopole or families with small children, this is less than ideal. In addition, 'no parking' zones are rarely enforced -- especially in the main thorough fair where it is difficult for opposing traffic because of cars parked illegally or in zones designated for fire zones.

it seems very FAMILY orinented...just what most people are looking for. A place that you feel safe enough to have your children run and play, a place to have a pet. This is just the type of place I am looking for with a 7 year old child and a small dog. Sounds friendly and not so uptight...

Knollwood Garden apartments has its good and bad. First off the bad. The bad consists of the constant noise you will hear no matter where in the complex you choose to live. There will be common noise and there will be exessive noice. We live in a 2 bedroom up-stairs unit, and the noise from downstairs is incredible. You hear everything including door slamming ,walking around , the television , person to person conversation you name it you will hear it. Door slamming is the worst and always a constant occurance, either from downstairs or a neighbor two doors down you will hear & feel that very annoying door slam. We have had several conversations with neighbors , but the slamming continues. We have friends in other units and they too experience the same thing. The other problem is un-supervised children. Groups of children on bikes , skateboards(not-permitted) playing ball, etc. are a common occurance here at knollwood, they can be very noisy. Caution is a must when driving through the streets of knollwood, some may wonder where are all the parents. The good things about knollwood are the landscape grounds , wooded areas ,central air, the 'NO PETS" rule, the immediate responce from maintenence if needed, and if your lucky enough to have one, a balcony. For the most part the apartments are spacious and the location is fantastic. The convience of everything is minutes from your door step and is a wonderful part of Middletown to live in.
