I am trying as we speak to get out of this place, my lease ends in a month or two and I am so happy to be rid of this place. The bathrooms are outdated ugly pink and brown. The hot water either burns you or lasts less than 5 minutes before its cold. My neighbors are horrible people who leave cups of cigarette butts all over the entry which is disgustingly embarrassing when I have guests over, and when I complain they are spiteful and retalliate by making loud noise all hours of the night. It is hard wood floor downstairs and when their 2 year old runs across the house at 3 am screaming and banging things we are told the walls are "Thin" lolll its pathetic.The maintnence man if you could call him that should not be aloud to repair his own home, he is careless and "fixes" problems by making excuses and promising to repair later on. An example is when the CO detector went off and he came and said oh call the office monday and tell them to make an appointment with me monday. Seriously I flipped out and called the fire department who said the fumes were coming from the downsatirs apartment who probably has a dryer not vented properly (no washer/dryer allowed in units). Nothing was done about it. The price of the rent vs. the quality is horrible. Definatley not worth $1000 a month. Oh and don't expect to have walk ways or parking lots cleared of snow, loll its a joke I am still trying to navigate walking in the dark on the pavement and sidewalks and it snowed a week ago. Windows are old and drafty I have a small apartment and to heat this place that we are not in for 8 to 10 hours a day cost us over $200 this month for gas. The bathroom is not heated at all the toilet is up against the window we try not to go at night but if we do we ave to wear sweat clothes or we'll freeze yea ad thats with the heat @ 76. And showers in the winter are like a punishment seriously between the cold water and freezing bathroom its terribe.

One would think with the high rents that are charged at Knollwood Gardens there would be an overall higher quality of tenants. But some of them...the cigarette butt litter etc that you describe...typical. Also maintenance in my experience...lousy at best.
