Pros:
The price: for the space, its hard to beat

The Layout: I live in the 1 Br w/ Loft and it is perfect for where i am at in my life.

The Location: Plenty of stores, shops, restaurants, 20 minute drive from Princeton.

Cons:
The Loctaion: Directly inbetween Rt's 1 and 130. Its more or less a highway sandwich.

The Complex: Due to the price, more and more low income familes are moving in. A recent string of Break-ins is a result.

The Craftsmanship: This apartments are cheaply made, can't hang heavy stuff on the walls. If you have a flat screen TV, dont think about trying to bracket it in to the studs. Windows & walls are very thin, this and the open layout of my apartment make for ridiculous heat bills in the winter/ AC in the summer.

Management: The women at the desk don't make an effort. They dont want to talk to you and they make it abundantly clear.

The maintenance guys are good. They have never been a problem. We talk to them when we need something fixed and bypass the management office as much as possible. They hold to their appointments and are in and out in no time. Dont ever fill out a work order through the management women, because it undoubtably goes in the trash the minute you walk out of the office. Talk to one of the maintenance guys who are always out and around.

Royal Oaks is a decent option. you are going to pay between 900 and 1350 and based on that price, you should know you arent moving into the Ritz. I have been her nearly 3 years and i am eager to leave, but for a year or two..this is a good option.
