So far So good

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
We just moved into our apartment a week ago... Observations so far:
The good:
1. We live in a 1BR, 2BA with loft, very spacious. I enjoy that we have our own 'house' number.
2. There is ample closet and cabinet space located throughout the apartment. It's great for people like me who like everything to be in its place.
3. The leasing process was relatively simple, straight-foward, and the girls in the office were willing to answer any questions we had. Everyone was very polite and helpful.
4. Lots of windows allow natural light to penetrate into the apartment, hopefully saving on energy costs. When it's not too humid outside, theres not too much need for A/C, since the breeze makes the temperature comfortable.
5. Things were very clean when we arrived on moving day.
But nothing's perfect:
1. It would be nice if lines were painted in the parking lot, to maximize the number of spots available outside of the apartments.
2. We still haven't figured out where the recycling dumpster is.
3. No one lives below us right now, but I will feel bad when someone moves in, b/c the floor creaks a little no matter how softly you walk on it.
4. According to the lease, no pets are allowed. However, I've seen a box of cat food in the dumpster, and a girl walking a little dog around the parking lot. I'm not too sure what the deal is with that.
All in all, I am impressed so far, and hopefully I will continue to enjoy my stay at Royal Oaks.
