I USED TO LIVE THERE AND YOU BETTER HOPE YOU HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITHIN THE APARTMENT AS MAINTENENCE TAKES FOREVER TO RESPOND TO ANYTHING

I have lived there almost a year. They have an emergency maintenance line that goes to one of the maintenance man's cell phones- he responds within an hour- even on weekends- and has fixed whatever is needed! The walls are a a little thin now that I have new neighbors blasting music, but other than that its a nice, safe place to live...lots of families, plenty of parking, responsive maintenance and nice large units!

I've lived in Royal Oaks for almost 2 years. I have a 1 bedroom with a loft. Good: - Free parking - Quiet (I never hear my neighbors) - No safety issues - Recycling bins in each parking lot - Lots of space for the money - Unique floor plans - Washer/dryer in unit - Central heat/A.C. - Responsive maintenance staff - Jogging/bike path - Small fitness center and pool membership available, but for $20 extra per month - Right on Route 1 - easily accessible, a little noise when you're outside - Lots of windows and light! Bad: - Only cats allowed, although some people illegaly keep dogs - 12-month lease - More expensive than Plainsboro - Nothing within walking distance (besides a Wendy's) - Gas heat, stove, dryer (more expensive than electric) - No security system - Smell from previous tenants' cooking (VERY heavy spices) permeated apartment when I first moved in.... still cannot fully get rid of it - Built in 1987 - older structure (my apartment actually slopes a little to the front) - Only one gas/electric provider in area - PSE&G - have higher rates than other providers such as in Plainsboro or Princeton Junction - Appliances, fixtures, and construction aren't top-notch, but still livable
