If you read some of the other comments, there is a lot of truth in what they say. Let's review the postitives & negatives:

NEGATIVES:
1) Trash builds up & smells considerably - not enough bins for number of tennants.
2) Recycling bins are far and few between - requiring long distances to walk to, making recycling a hassle.
3) Parking spots are few... also tight, my car has been hit by car doors quite a few times.
4) Neighbors mostly ghetto - cheap rent equals cheap folks
5) Hallway smells like B.O.
6) Maintenance never calls back, comes whenever he pleases (which is a long time after you've called)
7) Hot water never really gets that hot

POSITIVES:
1) A lot of square footage (900) for 1 BD. You cannot find that in Central Jersey for $930/mth
2) Rent is way cheap for location & square footage. ($930 for 1 BD)
3) You will not find 900 SQ FT $930/mth with Washer & Dryer in Unit anywhere else in NJ!!! A Major Plus.
4) When we moved in, came with New Carpeting (1st Floor)
5) We have a beautiful view - Landscaping is quite nice here in the back; the front is Ghetto
6) Good location - close to 522, Rte 1, Home Depot, Restaurants, Stop & Shop, Rte 27, South Middle Bush

OVERALL
It's not as ghetto as it seems... though that depends on your immediate neighbors... would recommend moving out as soon as possible though... don't move in if you have the option to BUY... if you must RENT, not bad... consider also FOX RUN in plainsboro, RAVENS CREST or other apartments in nearby Plainsboro (10 min from Monmouth Junction)

I'd have to update my response. This place sucks like hell!!!! The neighbors upstairs play Indian music loud at night, their kid runs around with no rug or carpeting underneath, you can hear them talking and running around - this is the apartment from hell!!!! looking to move out ASAP!!!

Am a 4 year resident here and sad to say after the SWF above me moved out I am now living this exact same nightmare. Leases require tenants on upper floors to lay carpet but mgmt does NOTHING except blow smoke up your a** if you complain. This spoils an otherwise pleasant place to live.
