I moved into Ramblewood Nov. 2003.. Since the first rain storm I had a leak in the living room right infront of the sliding door. I called to the office and the next day maintance came out to check the problem. They claimed to sell it. A few days later another storm another leak, once again called and was left a note they sealed the whole in the slider in the above apt. Needless to say now a YEAR AND HALF LATER!!!! every rain storm yet another leak. This past weekend was a TERRIBLE STORM! and a huge leak that actually went further in the ceiling. I called for maintance and when he called back he said that he would not come out to see the leak since it was raining and there was nothing he could do other then wet vac the carpet which I had said I already started.... why wouldn I sit there with a sopping wet carpet!
Next morning I get a call from the rental office, sunday they aren't open on sunday, asking me if mait. came out to check the leak I told her no that he stated while the ceiling was wet there was nohting he could do. He shows up about 20 min. later telling me he didn't appreciate me telling the office he didn't show up, that he didn't show up cus I had already vacumed. I told him.. Since you didn't I told her you didn't I will not lie for you!
As he checks the leak and will not let me voice my concerns about this issue he kept cutting me off to tell me he has been in teh business of mait. for 30 years and takes seminars.
He would not get a prof. carpet cleaner in to deep clean the carpet because acording to him the carpet was dry by this time and NO MOLD can grow in less then 48 hours... NOT TRUE BY THE WAY!!! any hint of moisture can cause this and there is a padding under the carpet to a little wet vac will not pull it completely out. He kept talking down to me as if I had no clue the proper way to handle this issue, however i mentioned to him my family is in contruction, home repair and handyman type work so I know more then he thought, Needless to say he kept talking to me like an idiot would cut me off to tell me what my problem was and that it would get fixed and not his fault it rained. By now I am raising my voice because he is seriously annoying me to the point of pure anger!!! He leave with saying he will speak to his manager and i said that is fine I took pictures and will report this not only to the office but to the county! and he left.. NEVER came back ..
What is the kicker they come back when the leak is dry to fix it, how do you find the source of a leak that is reoccuring YET only look at it when the leak is dry and NEVER pull the ceiling apart in the area to find the true source.. OR tell me there is no rotting wood yet they haven't pulled the slider from the above apt. out to see what is happening underneath.

This is not the only issue.. I tend to have cold water in the winter mornigns.. AFTER nurmerous complaints they fix the heating unit for the Woods, where I reside!, but I still was getting cold water shower, tickets put in numerous times.. All saying i have too hot of water yet I am telling them I HAVE NO HOT WATER! well finally they fixed it but low and behold I have NO COLD WATER.... forget doing laundry in cold water because it will be luke warm.

For the amount of rent paid the place is the worse! I have lived in another complex before and if I called to get something fixed it was fixed right the first time and if they couldn't they got someone who did.. This complex said I can't expect perfection .. BUT for 880 a month I can expect things to be fix in a timely manner, and according to health and sanitation requirements! do not live there! I want out of my lease but can't, lets see what happens when the county rec's this letter regarding the leak issue... once the lease runs out, I AM RUNNING as far away as I can! DO NOT RENT HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR DOLLAR!
