I've lived there for three years and the apartments are sound-proof and the location is great. Buccleuch park is right behind the building, and it's quite large with fitness trails winding through it. The location is safe, and most renters are of medium income (no section 8!).

The management was excellent when I moved in, but since she left it has been a little more difficult to deal with. The maintenance men are great and will help you if you can find them (they live in the building).

The unit had been renovated just before I moved into it, and the dishwasher and fridge were excellent. The cabinets and countertop were tastefully chosen. If you have a choice, choose a recently renovated unit.

The only problem is a recent one, and quite bad at the moment. About 2 months ago there was a cockroach infestation. Really bad, they were coming out of the garbage chute(located next to the elevator). The building and the apt's get sprayed each month, but the infestation was still noticeable in the basement (where the garbage falls to through the chute) and I've spotted a roach or two at night in the apartment.

It's mostly good, but i wouldnt take an apartment too close to the elevator.
