I'm a new graduate in my early 20s taking my first steps into the real world. From this stand point, the Colony House is awesome. Especially since I've come from crappy crappy apartments near campus. BUT, I plan to move out once my lease is up and never come back.

The walls are thin enough that I can hear my neighbors door open and close every time he/she leaves and comes back.

The floors warp whenever it becomes humid outside.

The philosophy behind "maintenance" in this building equals "painting over with lots and lots of paint." Not to mention the headaches from the lingering new paint odor.

Management sucks, and as long as you accept that they don't acknowledge that tenants are people, you can get by.

Some doormen are cool, but one in particular is a big jerk.

Some good points:

Big windows. Great view. that's about it.

If you are like me, then I would recommend this apartment. If you are someone who is a bit more mature and looking for a nice place to settle for a "long time," then look elsewhere. As I said before, I moved here knowing it would be temporary.
