I have lived in the Colony House for close to two months now and it is absolutely wonderful. Compared to other luxury apartments in the area it is extremely affordable. My apartment has a wonderful view and is extremely spacious.
All of the neighbors are very nice and many of them have lived there for some years (10 or more in some cases). The general makeup of the building is professional people in their late 20's-mid 30's and older retirees. There are some college students, but they seem to be mainly graduate students or very mature undergrads.
The management can be a little slow with some matters, but they always address every problem that comes up and are very nice people. The doormen are all very helpful and extremely nice. They will even sometimes help you carry in your groceries or packages.
There is ample parking and the parking lot and building are extremely secure and are monitored 24 hours a day.
There are two laundry rooms on the first floor, both kept very clean. It is not as convenient as having a W/D in your apt, but its just one elevator ride downstairs to put in laundry.
I think if you consider the fact that utilities are included in the rent cost, the Colony House is a wonderful place to live at an affordable price.

You've lived there for two months? Try writing back after a little longer. By then, perhaps you'll have figured out that the management are uncaring, incompetent arses. And maybe you haven't noticed your first roaches yet, but given time, I bet you will. When I lived there (thank god I don't any more!), the tenants were starting to form an association to fight back against the pathetic management of the building. Not sure what became of that effort... but it's sad that that was necessary.
